Flaster Greenberg Announces the Appointment of 2025 Board Members

Flaster Greenberg, a midsize commercial law firm, announced two new members of its Board of Directors as of January 1, 2025. New Board Members Jeffery Cohen and Harry Giacometti join Shareholders Michael Bonella, Joseph Klinicki, Adam Gersh, Jordan LaVine, Meghan Moore, Steven Poulathas, and Michele Tarantino for the 2025 term.

Jeff has been with our firm since 2001 and Harry since 2011. They have played an integral part of the firm’s growth,” said Jordan LaVine, co-managing shareholder and board member.

The two new board members are:

Jeffrey A. Cohen serves as Chair of the firm's Litigation Department and is a member of the firm's Board of Directors. He counsels clients in complex litigation disputes and provides guidance to proactively address business formation and transaction issues.

Cohen has spent more than 25 years helping clients anticipate, address and resolve the day-to-day challenges and pragmatic decisions facing today’s businesses. A trial lawyer by trade, he works with businesses to ensure partnerships are intact as well as to identify potential risks and pitfalls associated with its evolution. Cohen collaborates with a diverse range of clients in matters related to sports issues, antitrust disputes, commercial contracts, shareholder and partnership agreements, trademarks, copyrights, patents, including Hatch-Waxman, insurance coverage, franchise disputes, and commercial construction.

Harry J. Giacometti is Chair of Flaster Greenberg’s Bankruptcy, Financial Restructuring and Risk Management Department and a member of the firm's Board of Directors. His practice is focused on commercial bankruptcy matters, transactions, and litigation in both the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

During his more than 30 years in the legal services industry, Giacometti was a name partner of Smith Giacometti, a boutique business law firm that he co-founded in 1997. Before forming Smith Giacometti, he worked in the Reorganization and Finance Department of Duane Morris. Prior to joining private practice, he served as a trial attorney with the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice.

Giacometti has been a contributing author in numerous legal publications, including the New Jersey Law Journal, published by the National Business Institute, the American Bankruptcy Trustee Journal, Multifamily Executive Magazine and others. He has also lectured on various topics relating to commercial transactions, bankruptcy law and commercial litigation.
