| Press Release

Flaster Greenberg, a midsize full-service commercial law firm, is pleased to announce that the firm’s Board of Directors unanimously re-elected Co-Managing Shareholders Steven Poulathas and Jordan LaVine to a second four-year term. The term commences on January 1, 2025.

During Poulathas’s and LaVine’s first four-year term, Flaster Greenberg celebrated its 50th anniversary, added 24 new attorneys, expanded its practice areas, and branched out into more industries. Because of the firm’s longevity and growth, it is poised to continue providing its clients with a deep bench of experienced attorneys who offer a wide breadth of services to meet all their individual or business legal needs. Poulathas and LaVine envision continued strategic growth for the firm. The firm also made significant technology investments and advancements to ensure the staff can securely create, collaborate, and share efficiently from any location without any barriers. Workspaces were also renovated, and a hybrid work schedule and relaxed dress code were formally adopted.

The duo also actively supported initiatives to bolster the firm’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. While Flaster Greenberg has maintained a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiative for more than two decades, it was revived under the direction of Poulathas and LaVine. A 12-member committee, scholarship funds, fundraising campaigns, partnerships with other organizations, and seminars for attorneys and staff, enhanced the firm’s ability to turn focus and ideas into action. Poulathas and LaVine also encouraged the firm to launch a Women’s Advisory Group, which is an extension of the Women’s Initiative. The Group includes women attorneys in a variety of practice areas who can counsel and support women business owners and C-Suite professionals.

On being elected to a second term, LaVine said “serving alongside Steve as Co-Managing Shareholder has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. We each bring different strengths and experience to our roles, but we share a deep love for the firm that drives our collective desire to work hard every day to make sure the firm is on a positive path. I am very grateful that our Board feels good about the progress we have made, and I look forward to working hard over our next term to keep us moving forward.”

Poulathas adds: “It has been a tremendous honor to serve as a Co-Managing Shareholder during one the firm’s greatest periods of growth, as it transitions to the second half of its first century and from the founding generation to that of a new generation of talented and entrepreneurial attorneys.  Jordan has been the perfect tag-team partner in this ongoing journey as we share common goals, values, and visions for the firm that at their core strive for a positive culture that ultimately drives success. We are grateful to all the members of the Flaster Family for their trust.  Day in and day out, they make us proud and make our job look easy because of their work ethic, loyalty and dedication to our client service and our collective and individual success.”

Poulathas has been with Flaster Greenberg since 2008, was elected to Shareholder in 2012, joined the board in 2017and chaired the Corporate Department from 2018 to 2020. LaVine has been a Shareholder with the firm since 2006, has led the Trademark Practice during his tenure, and for much of that time, served as Chair of the Intellectual Property Department.
