The Center City Division of Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia, P.C. (CCP), a longtime client of founding Shareholder, Steve Greenberg, recently entered into an affiliation with Jefferson Health. CCP is the largest independent single specialty cardiology practice in the United States with 32 office locations throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania. As a result of the affiliation, both parties will collaborate on growth and innovation in the health system’s cardiovascular service line.
While the arrangement was complicated by CCP’s prior relationship with University of Pennsylvania Health System, Greenberg’s counsel helped in the transition, serving as a trusted legal and business advisor with respect to the unwinding of CCP’s prior affiliation. He also helped formulate, structure, and effectuate the organizational and financial arrangements, working closely with CCP’s management team and CEO, Dr. Mark Victor, to finalize the deal in a timely manner that fully met the client’s strategic goals. The deal was particularly complex due to confidentiality issues, and the client benefitted from Greenberg’s thorough understanding of the industry and extensive experience in handling delicate negotiations.

CCP's CEO, Dr. Mark Victor, has been a fixture in the Philadelphia healthcare community for more than 35 years. He has almost singlehandedly grown the practice from two cardiologists with one office in South Philadelphia, to a powerhouse of 98 physicians with 32 office locations in Philadelphia and its four surrounding Pennsylvania counties. Under his constant guidance, CCP has in excess of 250,000 patient encounters per year.
