BUSINESS LAW SEMINAR SERIES

Domicile Planning

Join Flaster Greenberg PC for a monthly Business Law Seminar Series.

The educational sessions will focus on topics that have an impact on most businesses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including updates on recent and pending legislative and administrative actions.

Our one-hour programs are geared toward business owners and business executives, and the professionals who advise them: accountants, financial advisors, bankers, and investors. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other business owners and professionals, and earn CLEs and CPEs.

SEMINAR DESCRIPTION

Are you or your clients considering a change in your residence to another state? This presentation will cover how you determine what state is one’s legal residence for tax purposes and how to make a change. And it will explain why 183 days away from the taxing state does not even matter, certainly not for snowbirds. These decisions have important implications as to how much income taxes are paid during your lifetime as well as what your heirs will have to pay when you pass. Learn important considerations associated with these decisions and how you can make a change to another state that may better fit your situation and save lots of money.
