BUSINESS LAW SEMINAR SERIES
State Sales and Income Tax Nexus Issues
Join Flaster Greenberg PC for a monthly Business Law Seminar Series.
The educational sessions will focus on topics that have an impact on most businesses in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, including updates on recent and pending legislative and administrative actions.
Our one-hour programs are geared toward business owners and business executives, and the professionals who advise them: accountants, financial advisors, bankers, and investors. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with other business owners and professionals, and earn CLEs and CPEs.
SEMINAR DESCRIPTION
If your company is doing business in multiple states across the U.S. then, as a business owner, you need to understand sales tax nexus and the sales tax obligations your business faces. Attendees will gain an understanding of what creates sales tax nexus, sales tax obligations for filing and paying, and why it’s an important part of state tax planning for business at all stages in the business’s lifecycle, from formation to exit, including in a merger or sale transaction . Attendees will also learn more about the role volunteer disclosure agreements (VDAs) in ensuring compliance with the law and the impact of potential unreported state tax liability in M&A transactions.
