Open Houses to Help with Philadelphia Real Estate Tax Appeals Due October 6, 2014

PDF
September 30, 2014 and October 2, 2014

Any appeals of assessments for 2015 Philadelphia real estate taxes are due no later than October 6, 2014. For almost everyone in the City, the assessments are unchanged from the 2013 assessment and if you did not receive an assessment notice earlier this month, it means your assessment did not change.

Who needs to act?

The City remains inundated with pending appeals from last year. If you filed an appeal in 2013 and that appeal has not yet been decided, the City is deeming that appeal to also be filed for 2014 taxes. Whatever ends up being decided for 2014 will apply to both 2014 and 2015.

If you have any questions about your Philadelphia tax assessment, please reach out to Kevin Greenberg or any other member of Flaster Greenberg’s Real Estate Group. In order to make it easier on our clients, we will conduct a pair of open houses for clients in our Philadelphia office. Please free to stop by for a free consultation and, where appropriate, filing assistance.
