This session will provide a complete toolkit for handling formal and informal whistleblower claims, including a summary of key federal, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey whistleblower laws, a discussion of how these claims play out at trial, and pointed guidance on issues, actions, and tactics in-house counsel should consider when faced with a whistleblower claim. We'll discuss in-house counsel's role in the investigation, ethical responsibilities, protection of the whistleblower, and finally, whether an in-house lawyer can be a whistleblower.
