Stephen M. Greenberg was recently quoted in a Forbes Magazine article focused on helpful ways to save money with year-end tax planning tips. Mr. Greenberg gave the reporter the same advice he gives to his clients who live in Pennsylvania and have a second home at the Jersey shore:
“Deductions from their stiff New Jersey property taxes protect them from the regular tax at the marginal rate set by AMT. He has them [client] convert them as a sliver of IRA money, just enough to fill the window. If you can pay at 26% or 28% by accelerating the income it makes it a lot of sense.”
