About Philadelphia Business Journal Best Places to Work

This year’s list, ranked by employee feedback, includes 84 companies from across the region. Out of the 84 awardees, only six are law firms. In the large company category (100 to 499 employees), there are 19 awardees with Flaster Greenberg earning the distinction as the only law firm. Award applicants were evaluated and ranked across five categories according to the number of Greater Philadelphia employees. The ranking found companies in the region whose employees rate them as the highest on such values as fun, collaborative culture, solid compensation and benefits offerings and other amenities as well as management practices. The survey measures each company’s culture and takes into consideration compensation, benefits, and trust in senior leadership.

Jordan LaVine, co-managing shareholder said, “We are excited and honored that Flaster Greenberg has been named to the Philadelphia Business Journal’s list of Best Places to Work. Our Board of Directors, administrative management team, and shareholders have worked tirelessly to ensure our firm provides a positive culture and work environment that empowers each of our attorneys and staff to flourish professionally and personally, while providing excellent service to our valued clients. This recognition validates that our dedication to the firm’s core values -- treating each employee with a high-level of respect, appreciating their contributions, and respecting work-life balance -- is positively impacting our firm, clients, and community.”

Best Places to Work is an innovative publication and awards program produced by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The rankings were determined by surveys that went directly to employees who answered a series of questions. The survey was administered online by the employers and through a service provided by Quantum Workplace, the Journal’s research partner. The rankings are numeric based on Quantum’s scoring process. By ranking companies and sharing best practices we facilitate idea sharing and help other companies learn from the best.
