Alan Zuckerman, managing shareholder at Flaster Greenberg PC, has been named a “Distinguished Leader” by The Legal Intelligencer. This prestigious award recognizes lawyers who achieved impressive results in the past year and demonstrated clear leadership skills in their practices and as members of the professional community. Alan has been a corporate/tax attorney at Flaster Greenberg for the last 32 years. In January of 2017, he took the reins as Managing Shareholder, assuming leadership of the firm’s strategic planning, administrative, recruiting, management and business activities.
Dedication to recruiting the most talented, knowledgeable and driven attorneys in the area has been evident in Alan’s strategic vision for growth at Flaster Greenberg. Over the last two years, the firm has added 27 new attorneys, four additional practice areas and opened offices in Conshohocken, PA; Jenkintown, PA; Princeton, NJ; and Boca Raton, FL. During Alan’s tenure, the firm was also named one of the Best Places to Work in New Jersey by NJBiz in 2018 and by South Jersey Biz magazine in 2017.
Reorganization of the firm’s structure, including the incorporation of a Board of Directors in lieu of an executive committee, which was a new model for Flaster Greenberg, and emphasizing the importance of leveling the playing field for minorities and women, both in recruitment and retention efforts, have also been high priorities for Alan while serving at the helm. During his tenure, he has not hesitated to look for opportunities for improvement and therefore created sub-committees to identify potential issues and areas where the firm could improve upon the status quo. Additionally, Alan is overseeing a complete renovation of our firm’s headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ. The modernized office space will include state-of-the-art conference rooms and technology aimed to improve both client experience and employee work environment.
Dedication to the community has always been important to Flaster Greenberg, and under Alan’s direction the firm’s efforts are being recognized. Last October, the Anti-Defamation League presented Alan, on behalf of Flaster Greenberg, with the Sigmund Livingston Award for Corporate Citizenship for the firm’s ongoing commitment and dedication to social justice initiatives.
Information about each award recipient was included in a special supplement that was published in The Legal Intelligencer on May 28th. The winners will be honored as part of the Professional Excellence Awards dinner, which will take place later this year.
