Complimentary Employment Law Seminar for HR Professionals

Flaster Greenberg attorneys Adam Gersh, Kenneth Gilberg and Michael Homans have been tapped by Primepoint LLC, a payroll processing and HR information system technology company, to present a complimentary seminar for human resources professionals offering legal perspectives on the recent developments in labor and employment law.

The seminar, entitled "Employment Law Swiss Army Style: Your All-in-One Pocket Guide to the Latest, Hottest L&E Issues," will discuss a variety of decisions that impact HR management and operation. Topics include: iPad = iLiable? Personal devices and overtime pay; Up in Smoke – Marijuana, e-cigarettes and other incendiary topics in the workplace; Same-sex marriage, sexual orientation and the Supreme Court; What’s new in medical leaves and disability law; Social media – latest cases on acceptable policies; and What you need to know about expanded workers rights and employer personnel policies in relation to the NLRB decisions impacting union and non-union employers.

Gersh is a member of Flaster Greenberg's Litigation and Labor and Employment Practice Groups. He focuses his practice on the representation of businesses in employment and complex business disputes in the federal and state courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania and before federal and state administrative agencies. Gilberg is a member of the firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group. He represents primarily employers in a broad range of employment, labor, and human resources issues. He is an experienced practitioner representing management before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor and other administrative agencies.

Homans practices labor and employment law, concentrating on the litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees, including matters relating to wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, wage payment, overtime, family and medical leave, and breach of contract.
