Flaster Greenberg has been acknowledged in the 2016 edition of WTR 1000 rankings by World Trademark Review, which identifies the “the world’s leading trademark firms and practitioners” identifying leading players in over 60 key jurisdictions globally.
According to WTR, “International portfolio is Flaster Greenberg’s metier, although it cuts a dash in litigation, too. The quality of its foreign practice is almost second to none in the state; it has a network of top foreign associates ready to deploy at any moment, while its domestic team is well schooled in the Madrid system.”
The WTR list cites the 1000 ‘leading trademark practitioners’ in the world. Among top practitioners, they noted that Jordan LaVine is an “obvious choice” for complex issues. The “skilled practitioner” has “good business sense, keeps on top of developments in technology and is ethical and straight forward.” They describe Alexis Arena as “digitally savvy” and note that she recently came in handy on projects for clients Ancestry.com and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia.
LaVine concentrates his practice on trademark, copyright and unfair competition, strategic counseling, litigation, licensing and prosecution matters. He has been selected as a “Leader in the Field” in Pennsylvania for Intellectual Property by Chambers & Partners, 2008-2016; selected to Best Lawyers in America ® 2013 – 2016; ranked by Trademark Insider Magazine among the top 25 trademark lawyers in the U.S. in 2008; and has been named a Pennsylvania “Super Lawyer” by Thomson-Reuters. This is the sixth consecutive year LaVine has been recognized by the World Trademark Review, including being named among the top three attorneys in Pennsylvania for trademark prosecution, strategy, and counseling and ranked in the World Trademark Review’s highest band (gold) for his work.
Arena focuses her practice on trademark counseling and litigation, online trademark enforcement, and internet disputes. She advises clients on protecting and enforcing intellectual property rights, including the resolution of domain name disputes and matters concerning e-commerce, online speech and conduct, and related intellectual property issues. She has been named a 'Lawyer on the Fast Track' by The Legal Intelligencer, a Pennsylvania 'Rising Star' for the last five consecutive years by Thomson Reuters, publishers of Super Lawyers magazine, and a 'Top Attorney' by SJ Magazine for the last four consecutive years.
