Flaster Greenberg Expands Intellectual Property Practice

Noted intellectual property attorney Thomas J. Durling has joined Flaster Greenberg as a shareholder in the Philadelphia office.  Mr. Durling is a registered patent attorney and possesses more than two decades of experience in patent and trademark procurement, due diligence, intellectual property litigation and client counseling.  Mr. Durling concentrates his practice in the mechanical engineering field, with a principle technical expertise in large industrial equipment, flow measuring equipment, mobility vehicles, industrial and consumer packaging, molded plastic components, medical devices, printing equipment, and wastewater treatment.  Prior to joining Flaster Greenberg, he was a partner at DLA Piper US LLP.  Durling was also previously a shareholder with Seidel, Gonda, Lavorgna & Monaco, P.C., which firm joined Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP in 2001.

Mr. Durling is a 1980 graduate of Villanova University, where he received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and was a member of the Pi Tau Sigma national mechanical engineering honor fraternity. He earned a J.D. in 1983 from The Delaware Law School at Widener University. Mr. Durling previously served as president of the St. Alphonsus Catholic Youth Sports Organization.
