Attorney Joshua C. Malino has joined Flaster Greenberg as an associate in the Litigation and Intellectual Property Practice Groups, resident in the Philadelphia office of the firm. Mr. Malino maintains a broad-based practice in patent prosecution and litigation in the chemical, mechanical, wastewater, environmental and bioremediation areas.
A licensed professional engineer with a chemical engineering degree, Mr. Malino worked as a senior project engineer with Shaw Environmental & Infrastructure, where he designed, installed, constructed and maintained air, soil and groundwater treatment systems to support remediation of petroleum-contaminated sites. He also drafted and presented feasibility studies to support selection of appropriate remedies for cleanup of inactive army bases under CERCLA. Mr. Malino also worked as a project engineer at Babcock & Wilcox, where he designed, installed and operated a radioactive wastewater treatment system in the Russian Far East. He was also an IP litigation and prosecution associate at the law firms of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell and Morgan & Finnegan in New York City.
Mr. Malino graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden in 2008, where he received the Paul C. Ireton Memorial Award for the Highest Cumulative GPA and was the recipient of the ABA and BNA Awards for Intellectual Property Law. He also holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
