Of all the challenges facing small businesses and startups, one that business owners may least expect is the potential for harm from within their own company. Employees and independent contractors with access to sensitive data or proprietary information are positioned to undermine your business, unless you create boundaries and establish protections to reduce your vulnerability.
This seminar examines the various types of employment agreements that will protect your business, and in the process, help you to retain and reward your company’s most valuable employees. Using case studies and real life examples drawn from small business, attendees will learn the difference between non-compete, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements, how to structure the agreement for maximum enforceability, what approach to use when requesting an existing employee to sign the agreement, and how to incorporate the right agreements into your hiring process.
