Homans to Speak at South Jersey Chamber Event

Flaster Greenberg shareholder Michael D. Homans will participate as a member of a panel discussing specifics of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act recently passed by Congress. The panel discussion, entitled Federal Healthcare Reform Update: Fix or Fiasco?  is presented by the South Jersey Chamber of Commerce and will take place on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 8:00 am at the Mansion on Main Street in Voorhees, NJ.  Joining Homans will be panelists James Gelfand, Director of the Health Policy for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and Erin Lieber, Senior Product Manager, AmeriHealth New Jersey.  Homans will describe how changes to the healthcare laws will affect employers and what employers should be doing to comply with the new mandates in the law.

Michael Homans practices labor and employment law, concentrating on the litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees. He represents a wide range of companies, nonprofit organizations and individuals throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. He serves as lead counsel in cases concerning wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistle blowing, non-compete agreements, wage payment and overtime, family and medical leave, and breach of contract.
