Flaster Greenberg P.C. attorney John G. Koch recently completed weeks of training and study and has earned accreditation as a LEED(R) Green Associate from the Green Building Certification Institute, the credentialing organization allied with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
The USGBC is a non-profit trade organization that promotes sustainability in building construction and design. The LEED(R) (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professional credential is awarded to those who pass a difficult exam. According to the USGBC, the LEED(R) designation “represents a level of competence and is the mark of the most qualified, educated and influential green building professionals in the marketplace.”
Mr. Koch is a member of the Litigation, Environmental and Alternative and Renewable Energy Practice Groups. He counsels clients in matters concerning compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations, and also represents clients engaged in or considering business ventures in emerging green energy fields such as solar, wind, geothermal, cogeneration, biofuels and biomass.
