Michael Homans to Join PBI Panel on Workplace Investigations

Michael D. Homans, shareholder in the Labor and Employment Practice Group at Flaster Greenberg PC,  has been selected by the Pennsylvania Bar Institute (PBI) to participate as a panelist at their upcoming seminar focused on workplace investigations.  He will join fellow panelists Michael J. Torchia, Esq., Semanoff, Ormsby, Greenberg & Torchia, LLC,  and Stephen G. Console, Esq., Console Law Offices LLC, to discuss everything an employer needs to know when identifying and conducting a workplace investigation.

The panel discussion, entitled “Workplace Investigations: A Practitioners View,” will cover important legal issues for employers, including: How to identify when an investigation is needed; provide a step-by-step guide on how to conduct a workplace investigation; and best practices to improve the defensibility of investigations.

Homans practices labor and employment law, concentrating on the litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees, including matters relating to wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, wage payment, overtime, family and medical leave, and breach of contract. The seminar will be held on Friday, July 25th from 12:30 - 3:45 p.m. at PBI’s Conference Center in Mechanicsburg, PA and has been approved for three PA/NJ CLE credits. This course will also be offered via live webcast. For more information, or to register, click here.
