Lynda L. Calderone is chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department concentrating her practice on patent prosecution, litigation and IP due diligence; IP related agreements including licenses; and patentability, validity, infringement and unenforceability analyses. She counsels inventors and businesses in the development of proactive IP strategies, including conducting IP audits, maximizing patent value and litigation avoidance. As an attorney with a degree in chemical engineering, her practice focuses on chemical and mechanical inventions in technology areas including polymers and composites, nanotechnology, consumer products, medical and semiconductor-related devices, and cosmetics.

Michael D. Homans is chair of the firm’s Litigation Department where he practices labor and employment law, concentrating on the litigation of workplace disputes and pre-litigation advice to employers and employees, including matters relating to wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblowing, non-compete agreements, wage payment, overtime, family and medical leave, and breach of contract. Thomas J. Durling is of counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property Department and has more than 30 years experience handling intellectual property issues, with a focus on business development. A registered patent attorney, he helps clients prepare and prosecute patent applications; performs patent infringement analysis, validity studies and right to use studies; and negotiates and prepares licenses and other agreements for clients across a wide range of industries and applications. 

Marty M. Judge is chair of the firm’s Environmental and Real Estate Law Departments and focuses his practice on all facets of environmental litigation, transactional issues, and compliance and counseling on behalf of industrial, commercial and residential clients, including real estate developers and redevelopers. Practicing mainly environmental law for over 30 years, Judge is a former Deputy Attorney General who at one time represented the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. Aside from work for clients, presently he is Counsel to and a member of the Executive Committee of the Justice Stewart G. Pollock Environmental Inn of Court, as well as a Director of the Environmental Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Judge is also a member of several environmental committees of the New Jersey Builder’s Association and the Chemistry Council of New Jersey. 

Jordan A. LaVine is a member of the Intellectual Property Department. He concentrates his practice on trademark, copyright and unfair competition strategic counseling, litigation, licensing, and prosecution matters. He represents public and private companies in such industries as media and publishing, technology and telecommunications, consumer products and services, pharmaceuticals, health care, financial services, automotive, automotive chemicals and accessories, retail and commercial services, apparel, jewelry, software, and food products. He has been named by the World Trademark Review as one of the top three attorneys in Pennsylvania for trademark prosecution, strategy, ranking in the World Trademark Review’s highest band (gold) for his work. 

Peter R. Spirgel is the firm's managing shareholder and chief operating officer. He counsels businesses on taxationshareholder issuesfinancing transactions and mergers and acquisitions and individuals in the area of Federal, State and Estate tax planning. Also a member of the firm’s Alternative and Renewable Energy Industry Group, he represents clients engaged in or considering business ventures in emerging green energy fields such as solar, wind, geothermal, cogeneration, biofuels and biomass. 

Steven D. Usdin focuses his practice on commercial and personal bankruptcy, general corporate and transactional matters and commercial litigation. With more than 30 years experience in the legal services industry, he has appeared on behalf of debtors, creditors and equity security holders’ committees, and secured creditors in a variety of proceedings at the Trial and Appellate levels in State and Federal Courts.
