Gregory Melnick is a member of Flaster Greenberg’s Intellectual Property Department and Patent Practice Group. He is a patent attorney with more than ten years of experience and a strong background in computer science.
Gregory focuses his practice on patent application drafting and prosecution across diverse technological domains, including Artificial Intelligence (machine learning, neural networks), computing systems and software, electronics, speech recognition, blockchain, telecommunications with an emphasis on cellular technology, video and image processing and compression, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, autonomous vehicles, mechanical systems, and biotechnology.
He is skilled at providing detailed opinion work encompassing non-infringement opinions, freedom-to-operate analyses, patentability assessments, and offering clients insightful guidance in navigating complex IP challenges. Gregory is also proficient in filing and prosecuting trademarks and copyrights.
In addition, Gregory has significant non-legal technical experience in information technology, including working as a network administrator, database manager, and service delivery manager. His responsibilities have included negotiating adjustments to service level agreements, managing customer agreements, managing service delivery technicians across multiple states, monitoring contract metrics, database management, and computer hardware, software, and network maintenance.
