As a “go-to” person when an insurance claim arises, risk managers need to spot coverage issues that could result in the loss of very valuable coverage. A crucial element in spotting coverage issues is considering whether more than one state’s law may apply to the claim and whether there may be a conflict among those laws. This session will discuss conflicts of law relating to insurance coverage, how to spot situations where danger may lurk, and strategies for maximizing coverage for claims.
