He also represents individuals seeking insurance recoveries pursuant to disability, life, and health insurance policies. Fried’s criminal defense practice involves representing business organizations and individuals who may be or who are the subjects of criminal investigations and/or prosecutions.

He is also an active member of the American and New York City Bar Associations.
Lee M. Epstein, who will work in the firm’s Philadelphia office, is a member of Flaster Greenberg’s Insurance Coverage Counseling and Litigation for Policyholders and Litigation Practice Groups. He concentrates his practice in insurance coverage law and has a special expertise in securing insurance for environmental, products of professional liabilities and for first-party property and business interruption losses. He has represented market leaders in the airline, chemical, financial, mining, food and HVAC&R industries.
Admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of Pennsylvania and New York, Epstein is a graduate of George Washington University Law School and received his BA from The Pennsylvania State University. He is also an active member of the American, Pennsylvania and New York Bar Associations.
Since 1999, Fried & Epstein LLP has achieved extraordinary success on behalf of their clients. Insurance recoveries in excess of several hundred million dollars have been secured by way of settlements and judgments. Significant trial and appellate victories were obtained in courts throughout the country, including: New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Louisiana, Colorado, Missouri, Florida, California, Ohio, Delaware, and even Puerto Rico. They were gratified when one of their cases resulted in a fundamental change in New York law with the enactment of “Ian’s Law,” which prevents insurers from discontinuing health insurance for seriously ill patients. Those successes were capped off this past year when one of their cases was selected as the top appellate victory by Law360 for policyholder’s throughout the country.
In addition to expanding the Insurance Coverage Practice, the Firm will add a White Collar Criminal Defense Practice, headed by Fried, who served for 18 years as an assistant district attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.
