Elissa K. Kerr and Jeffrey J. Rizzo, Jr. have joined Flaster Greenberg PC as litigation associates in the firm’s Litigation Department. Kerr and Rizzo, headquartered in the firm’s Philadelphia, PA, office, will focus their practice on commercial litigation matters.
Prior to joining the firm in August, Kerr worked at a mega-firm with an office based in Philadelphia where her litigation practice focused on the defense of corporate clients in a broad range of complex commercial matters in the areas of business disputes, healthcare, labor and employment, whistleblower/false claims act, environmental harm, director’s and officer’s liability, and consumer protection.
Kerr’s experience includes defending hundreds of pre-suit claims and lawsuits, including large nationwide class actions, from inception to resolution in state and federal courts. Elissa also has experience counseling clients regarding compliance with data privacy and security laws and employment issues.
She obtained her J.D. from Notre Dame Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in English literature and philosophy from Loyola University New Orleans.
Rizzo, worked at a Center City Philadelphia boutique business law firm prior to joining Flaster Greenberg in August, where he drafted legal documents, performed research and analysis, met with clients, and assisted with preparing for depositions, trials, and other court proceedings for a range of clients from individuals to global Fortune 100 companies, start-ups, and established corporations.
Rizzo earned a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and graduated cum laude from Temple University Fox School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance.
