Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer Johnson is a shareholder in the Real Estate & Land Use Department with extensive experience in all types of residential and commercial real estate and land use matters in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She prides herself on providing her clients -- whether they are homeowners or business owners and professionals -- timely, efficient, and personal service.

Her clients include individuals and a variety of businesses from small, family-owned, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses to publicly traded national and international companies, cannabis businesses, airports, and non-profit organizations. She regularly represents residential homeowners, developers, landlords, and tenants.

Jennifer has comprehensive experience dealing with the intricacies of land use development, acquisition, and approvals; leasing and financing of a wide variety of ground, retail, office, and industrial leases; applying for use variances, bulk variances, and site plan approvals; and land title matters including deeds, easements, restrictive covenants, and more.

She also represents clients in land use litigation matters, including successfully defending multiple appeals of land use approvals. It is crucial that your real estate attorney understands your business when disputes arise therefore, having served as a planning and zoning board member for more than a decade, along with her legal experience, Jennifer has unique insight on the municipal-side regulations regarding these matters.

She routinely works with, and navigates the guidelines of, the New Jersey Pinelands Commission. She also previously served as the solicitor for the Haddonfield, NJ Zoning Board and has experience dealing with communities and zoning and planning boards. She appears regularly before planning boards across the state of New Jersey.

In addition, Jennifer provides legal counsel to clients on all aspects of redevelopment projects including zoning matters, environmental issues, and dealing with municipalities, planning commissions, and city councils.

She regularly works with municipalities on Payment In Lieu of Tax (PILOT) agreements and has experience representing cannabis business owners from cultivation to dispensaries as they navigate their municipalities’ guidelines, obtain land use approval, and negotiate leases.

Jennifer also maintains an active residential real estate practice and has helped many homeowners find their dream home in this quickly moving market.
